Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is a time to get out and shop at all the amazing local small businesses that make our community great! When you #ShopSmall you are supporting your community, friends, and neighbors. Alamogordo MainStreet, Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce, the City of Alamogordo, and the SBDC at NMSU Alamogordo have partnered this year to encourage people to Shop Small, Shop Local. Join us on New York Avenue this Small Business Saturday, November 29th from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be food trucks, goodies, and deals for all, and best of all, Gingy the Gingerbread Man will be onsite taking selfies and handing out candy canes with coupons to the public from local small businesses.

We regret to share that the effects of a State of New Mexico taxation statute, specifically the deduction that established this annual gross receipts tax holiday, ceased on July 1, 2025. While Small Business Saturday will not be a tax holiday this year, it remains a special day of encouragement and incentive to Shop Small at our wonderful and irreplaceable local businesses in our city!
