Join the New Mexico Museum of Space History and the Alamogordo Fire Department for Climb the Cube: 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
As our nation observes the 25th anniversary of September 11, our community will come together to remember those lost, honor the courage of first responders, and stand alongside the families, friends, and communities forever affected by that day.
Beginning at 8:46 a.m., participants will complete 11 circuits in tribute to the 110 flights of stairs in the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. This is not a race—it is a meaningful, family-friendly opportunity to reflect, support one another, and participate in a shared act of remembrance.

Memorial Stair Climb begins: 8:46 a.m.
Museum admission: Free for first responders and their immediate families, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Individuals, families, first responders, businesses, schools, and local organizations are welcome. Create a team with your workplace, friends, or family, and join fellow residents from Alamogordo and across southern New Mexico in honoring service, sacrifice, and unity.
